Frizzy Thick

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't know what it is about this shampoo that leaves my hair feeling better than when using others, including other Pureology products as well. This shampoo leaves my hair silky soft without that gross, weighed down, sticky feeling I get with other hydrating shampoos. My main issue is the scent, which I definitely don't mind but would much prefer the fruity, clean scent of the strength cure line.

More youthful hair texture

I’ve tried many expensive salon brands and a trendy custom subscription product. This is what finally worked for me! NOT GOOD

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Smooth - Shampoo & Conditioner is not what I had expected. For the price I anticipated it to be more helpful to my hair. I took the test on the site and my hairstylist had told me that based on my hair type I should use the hydration product… but trusting that phrenology knows what they’re doing I used the smooth product and it has completely dried my hair out and made the coloration of my hair very brassy instead of blonde.

A little goes a long long way!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So this was my second VOX BOX from Pureology and it did not disappoint whatsoever.. the scent is so fresh and clean.. the thing I loved most is that you only need like a tablespoon of the shampoo for it to turn into this overflowing lather on your precious tresses.. as you massage this liquid magic into your scalp and ends, you can feel how smooth it is.. I almost don’t want to rinse it out! The Pureology conditioner is also very smooth and creamy and a little of it also goes a long way with your hair. I have medium length hair, just past my shoulders, and I use about a silver dollar sized dallop and it covers all of my locks.. I usually start at the middle and work my way down, then squeeze all that silky cream on the top of my head.. hope you enjoyed my review!

Smooth Perfection EXACTLY 💯

Less frizz and easier to brush. Win Win. I was able to go my 3 days before washing again. My hair was full of volume and smelled great even after the 2nd day of not washing. I love the product and the brand. My husband also really likes this shampoo!

Smoother hair!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am happy with my purchase of Pureology Smooth Perfection Shampoo, when paired with a conditioner I already had. I have not tried it with a Pureology conditioner yet, but so far it is making my hair smoother, less frizzy. I love the regular bottles (as opposed to the larger refill bottles) from Pureology which easily sit upside down so that I don't have to shake them to get to the product. The bottles are also easy to squeeze, which is helpful for my aging hands!

Not worth the money

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to try this, but didn't want to spend over $100 on shampoo and conditioner. I finally bought the mini bottle to try. I think all your formulas smell terrible, but if it worked I didn't care about smell. The products do nothing for my hair that biolage didn't do, and biolage smells amazing for half the price. The only positive I have is that the shampoo lathers very nicely, so I didn't have to use much. Overall, definitely not worth the money.

HOLLY GRAIL!

The smoothing shampoo lathers beautifully, and with it helps manage damage, frizz , chemically damaged hair. It’s amazing as your washing your hair it helps detangle and what your left with is incredibly soft hair! I was so incredibly surprised and so happy to have found it. Now a staple in my hair care routine!

I am in love with this line

This stuff is amazing, doesn’t make my hair greasy or weigh it down. Washes out easily and actually does what it says!! It smoothes! The smell is lovely, I am usually a fan of purplish fragrances because they are not overly sweet or perfume-y. I would definitely buy again!

not good for thin hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tested this product for a few weeks, I noticed that after I switched to it my hair was becoming greasy faster and I had to wash it more frequently. I feel like it weighed my hair down. However, I gave this product to my sister to try (she has really thick hair) and she loved it and for her it was the opposite her hair stayed fresh longer and it was silky smooth and less frizzy. I only gave it 4 stars because it’s not for my hair type.

Great shampoo overall

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Pureology smooth perfection shampoo hits on all the key points. It was very effective at detangling my hair. After using it in conjunction with the conditioner, my hair felt incredibly soft, detangled and full. I have extremely fine hair, but a lot of it, and this shampoo really brings out the volume. I definitely had less frizz than I had prior to using the shampoo, but the frizz still existed. The scent is strong, but not overpowering. It leaves your hair smelling amazing once dried. Also a plus that it is sulfate-free. Overall, if you’re looking for a shampoo to soften your hair and provide some frizz reduction, I would recommend this!! nice lather beautiful scent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] ok so this might seem weird but the thing I like most is the scent, its so warm and soft. this produces a nice rich lather and leaves my hair bouncy and smoothed. the formula is definitely concentrated, so you don't need to use a lot of it at all......I use a dime size amount and wet my hands (usually repeat that about 3 times with my thick ribcage length hair).

Wanted to love BUT....

A Little Goes A Long Way

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Pureology products so I was excited to see if this would tame my color-treated, coarse and frizzy hair. It checked all the boxes I was looking for. The fragrance was very subtle but nice. The lather was where it’s at though! I have very long, thick hair and it usually takes an entire hotel-sized shampoo to do the job. My first time using this shampoo, I went way overboard. A quarter-sized amount washes my whole head of hair perfectly. It was truly shocking.

lives up to the name

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been a fan of Pureology's Hydrate line for a while, but this line takes it up a notch. I have thick hair, but the individual strands are pretty fine, so flyaway and mid-strand breaks can be hard to tame. After the first use, I could see a noticeable improvement in the frizzies and flyaways, which only got better with continued use. This is definitely my new favorite line.

Great for frizzy hair!

Nourishing Shampoo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked the way this shampoo hydrated my hair without leaving it feeling greasy. A little bit of product goes a long way, and it has a very thick lather, which I personally enjoyed. The price tag is definitely high on this item, but it can last awhile due to the little amount that is needed to shampoo your hair. It did leave my hair feeling shiny, and I would probably alternate this shampoo with a purple shampoo in order to avoid brassiness. The scent is a little odd, but I don’t dislike it either.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this #complimentary from @influencenster and omg, I have found my new holy grail shampoo, conditioner, and cream. The smell is great and long lasting. My hair has never been so soft and manageable, I didn't even have a hard time brushing it. This is definitely my number one pick hair care line! Right off the bat I absolutely love how it lathers up and how little you need to wash your hair. Whenever I would use it it made my hair and scalp feel so incredibly clean….plus it’s an added bonus that it smells really nice. And it does seem to control some of my frizz after use, especially considering that I normally have incredibly thick, wavy, frizzy hair.

great for colored hair

light smell and good results

Also I’m not 100% bought into the frizz reduction, I have pretty frizzy hair and didn’t notice any change there. But I’m enjoying it for what it is, and will use up the whole bottle!

no frizz on my thin hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this shampoo for over a month and I absolutely love it. It has a nice thick and creamy texture and the smell is amazing but the best part is that you can also use this on thinner hair types. It never weighs my hair down. It tames the frizz but still adds bounce. It’s also good for colored hair so that’s actually a plus for me since I never end up using color treated hair care now I can help both situations. I really have no downsides to this. I recommend trying it out for yourself!

worth trying

It lathers well and makes my hair smooth while cleaning it, unlike most shampoos I’ve tried that bubble up but doesn’t lather as it cleans your hair. The second would be how thick this shampoo is. I thought I had picked up the conditioner at first and then worried that I was going to have to struggle to rinse it out. but not the case. I have frizzy hair and this did give it some any right so I was pleased.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that it doesn’t have sulfates. It suds up nicely especially for not containing sulfates. It smells very nice - a subtle warm vanilla that isn’t too overpowering. The smell lingers nicely even after blow drying and styling my hair. It doesn’t seem to make my hair overly greasy for a smoothing shampoo (I don’t wash my hair every day so I don’t like shampoos that don’t leave my hair feeling clean enough). Overall I’d recommend.

Leaves hair soft and smelling divine!

Awesome shampoo!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve got naturally wavy VERY frizzy bleached hair. After blow drying my hair typically looks like a Lion mane & I have to take it with a flat iron. I was so excited to try Pureology for the very first time. This is literally the BEST voxbox I’ve ever received. The shampoo suds up so nicely! The conditioner left my hair feeling very silky soft & coated in moisturizing goodness. When I blow dried my hair after using this duo, it was still a Lion mane but just not as POOFY. I do think it cut down the amount of time it took me to blow ru all this hair. I will definitely be a repeat customer in the future!

The Smell

quality shampoo, does the job

I don’t ever really feel the need to shampoo twice either, regardless of how dirty my hair was, which is nice. This is going to sound petty, but the only reason it’s not a 5-star product is I am not wild about the fragrance. It’s not bad, it’s just not great either. Otherwise solid product but I’d be more likely to shell out to repurchase if it smelled better.

quality shampoo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shampoo has a great lather, pleasant but not overpowering scent, and is an overall quality product. If you’re looking for a smoothing shampoo that helps defrizz, I would give Pureology Smooth Perfection a try.

pretty darn good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly surprised that this actually does what it says it’s gonna do. It’s seriously cuts down the frizz and hair looks a little more polished. I do think you have to use the shampoo, conditioner and the serum/leave in together. It’s the perfect combo. Now.. the only gripe I have with this collection is the smell is not the best, it’s this fake coconut milk kind of fragrance. Other than that it’s two thumbs up for me.

Smell could be better!

Smooth blowout

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never tried the Purelogy Smooth Perfection until receiving it from Influenster. I have always heard good things about the brand so I was happy to review it. I really like that it. I personally think my blowouts look so much better. My hair doesn't feel like its got buildup on the roots which is great. I have kind of a sensitive scalp in a way. I have to change shampoos often because after about a month of regular use I get something like pimples on my scalp. I haven't had any problems with this though. My only concern was it's supposed to be for color treated hair. However my color has washed out quicker since using only this shampoo

smoothie

First round it was noticeably smoother but after 4/5 rounds I adore this set! I’ll continue to use and purchase. Thanks Influenster!!

So smooth!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review is not for the shampoo alone, but for the conditioner as well because I used them together. I have fairly thick, wavy hair which I like to straighten or style in big waves. My hair is over processed with chemicals and I used Olaplex for quite a while to try to help it but my hair was not feeling soft anymore. This smoothing shampoo and conditioner has given my hair a lovely softness which I really missed! I was playing with my hair constantly because it felt and smelled so nice. I could smell the scent in my hair for hours which I personally really enjoy. Styling was a breeze. The only con is due to my thicker hair I go through a lot of product and I think it will run out fast, which at this price point makes me think twice if I can maintain this habit! Wish they came out with combo deals to help it be more affordable!

Weighs down my fine hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My regular shampoo is actually Pureology Hydrate so I was excited to try this one. I have very fine color treated hair that tends to be on the dry and frizzy side. It is naturally wavy but I usually straighten it. I love the scent of this shampoo and how my hair feels immediately after. However, I would need to wash my hair every day if I used this. By the second day my hair just looked and felt extremely greasy, even with dry shampoo. I never had this problem with the Hydrate line. I don't recommend this shampoo if you have hair that gets weighed down easily.

smooth!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using this shampoo for a few weeks and I’m really liking it. My hair feels soft and smooth. It looks shiney and not so frizzy. I prefer a clean scent if any and this has a shea type smell which I don’t usually choose but not overpowering. I would recommend.

Less Frizz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only used this shampoo a few times so far, but I have noticed that when I use the shampoo, conditioner, and smoothing lotion together my hair dries with less frizz. I like to air dry my hair and have noticed less frizz than usual. I will definitely keep using this product and continue seeing how it works.

My new shampoo!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Many "salon quality" shampoos do not live up to their description. This one sure DOES!! I have very frizzy hair and it makes it feel sooo soft. It is pricier than a basic shampoo, but cheaper than a salon. This will always be in my shower now!!

shinny smooth hair, reduced frizz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first use I loved it made my hair smooth , lathered extremely, and smells really good to me’ then I used it a few more times and I noticed that my hair was smooth but I didn’t like the fact that my roots once my hair was dry it was shiny but it’s like a greasy hair type of shiny I didn’t like that and made my hair fall more flat like I hadn’t washed my hair for days maybe that’s what they mean by shiny but on the rest of my hair feels good except don’t like how my hair still feels dirty ,

Gets the job done
