My new favorite conditioner!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I followed the instructions on the bottle which say to towel dry your hair after shampooing then apply and leave it for 2-3 minutes before rinsing out. I didn't fully dry my hair after shampooing, I just soaked up the excess water with my towel, but that seemed to be enough. After using this conditioner (with the matching shampoo) for over a week I am very happy and impressed! I have oily roots but the rest of my hair is fairly dry. This has made it hard to find a good conditioner in the past, but this strengthening conditioner finally seems to do the trick! My hair is softer, less dry and brittle, and my roots are not oily for once! The scent is pleasant but light, and I am very happy with the way my hair feels and looks and plan to purchase this in the future!

Mermaid Hair!

I started using the Genesis shampoo and conditioner last fall and it has transformed my locks into mermaid hair! The pre-existing breakage in my hair near my roots has finally been able to grow out thanks to this product and I truly do see a drastically reduced amount of hair in my brush or on the shower floor. It has also enhanced the natural colors of my hair and I have received compliments on it, asking what colors I use and they are shocked to hear this Kerastase product is what I am using to achieve this. Beyond happy!

Looooove this conditioner

I am in love. This conditioner makes my hair so so so soft and moisturized. It’s lightweight too. I really dislike heavy conditioners that don’t do much and make my hair weighted down. This is the opposite! Lightweight AND effective/moisturizing. My hair was so shiny once I was all done styling. Definitely will be buying this one again and again.

Great products!

I have used this product for over 6 months. My hair is doing great! I use both the shampoo and conditioner, but I believe the conditioner leaves my hair a little greasy/stringy after blow drying. I have to use a little dry shampoo to make the stringy-ness go away. It doesn't matter how short/long I keep the conditioner on my hair it get the same results. I am going to try a different conditioner to see if it helps. But Kerastase products ALWAYS make my hair so much healthier.

Convinced and proven!

I am 63 post menopausal with thinning grey weak colored hair. I decided to start trying high end products because I was at my wits end and before I cut it all off, I figured I owed my self this last hail mary. I landed on this Genesis collection line after falling in love with the Discipline collection. I will continue with Discipline (esp in the summer) but now I have found the answer to my weak thin hair! Here is the proof = my hair stylist just told me yesterday that my hair felt "stronger". I never told her about my home products and she never has asked. I just go to her every 4 weeks to cover my grey and she just said that completely unprovoked. I know my hair looks and feels better but the proof is with her experienced opinion IMHO! So there you go! Thank you Kerastase!

Best Product I’ve Come Across for Dry/Brittle Hair

The entire line is wonderful. My hair used to be thick and full, but it started to thin and fall out due to stress. Since using the shampoo and conditioner, hardly any hair falls out while showering or brushing. I can even see my hair has started to regrow in spots where it was thinning. I do wish this product came in a bigger bottle. I only use a tiny bit at a time and it runs out too fast. Regardless. I highly recommend this product!

It's A No For Those With Curly Hair

I have pretty curly hair, just shy of ringlets. Like most curly hair, mine is ALWAYS dry, which causes it to tangle in the shower. I brush my hair before getting in the shower, but don't like to once I get out because it makes my curls dry like strings and I lose my curl pattern. So, I always comb my hair in the shower with a wide-tooth shower comb after I've let the conditioner sit in my hair for a few minutes. Now, I'm used to using a ton of conditioner, that's just life with dry, curly hair. I can put stuff right on my roots and my hair just sucks it up. But with this conditioner, I had to use the entire travel size bottle in ONE shower. And the worst part is that I still didn't get my comb through my hair after all of that. I had to go back in and follow it up with the Curl Manifesto conditioner (which is 10/10) to get it to the point I could run my fingers through it. And because it didn't seem to be adding any softening or moisture to my hair, I ended up LOSING a TON more hair in the process of combing it out because obviously, when the comb gets stuck on knots, you tear strands. My shower drain catcher was atrocious when I was finally finished; we're talking globs of hair. And I know that curly haired-people tend to shed a lot because curls hang on to the usual strands lost naturally throughout the day rather than falling out as you go like those with straighter hair. But this was beyond anything I'd experienced before. And these products aren't cheap, so I can't be using an entire travel sized-bottle in one shower AND adding on a second conditioner after that. I'm giving it one star because it smells really good, so that's a plus. And I'm not saying this product directly caused me to shed more hair, like it's not something IN the conditioner. It's just that in the action of USING the conditioner, I ended up losing more hair than anything this conditioner could be preserving just due to its ineffectiveness against any form of non-smooth, dry, curly tangles when combing. From my curly-haired perspective, I actually lost more hair in the shower than when I was using other conditioners. So, maybe this works great for those with straighter hair or with finer hair maybe? This is just my experience, but I'd try a sample size bottle first if you have wavy to curly hair or issues with tangles in the shower.

Not my favourite

Doesn't seem like it actually does anything? No noticeable difference when using it or not. I might like it better with a different shampoo (currently trying the Specifique Bain Divalent Balancing Shampoo and I swear this is changing my hair texture for the worse). I'll continue to use and update if it works better with a different shampoo.

Finally Found IT !

I have fairly long, very wavy, almost curly hair. It is very fine, starting to thin out, but also quite dry. This product conditions well to smooth out the texture, yet it doesn't weight my hair down. It has a thickening effect and I like the added volume.

I started using this with the genesis riche shampoo. I use a little more than a quarter size dollop on my long hair. It doesn't feel like butter in the hair, but when I rinse it out, it feels soft and smooth. I enjoy the scent, it lingers but isn't overpowering. I haven't been using it enough to determine if it has truly helped with hair breakage from brushing, but I feel like my hair snaps less when I run my fingers through it.

I usually use conditioner every other wash and it’s enough to keep my hair detangled . Love this conditionner!

I love this conditioner, it does exactly what it's supposed to and doesn't have that slick slimy feel that drugstore conditionners have, my hair is thicker fuller doesn't break or shed as much. The only thing I would like more is a bigger bottle because I'm still trying to deprogram myself from conditioner over use. And comparitively to the matching shampoo it does need a bit more. So they don't time well together.
