My Favorite Product (essence absolue)

My absolute favorite! I wait until there is a discount since it isn't inexpensive. I use it at night with a silk lined cap, in the morning my hair is so smooth and tame. My hair is naturally frizzy, wavy and reacts to this overnight miracle just as I have always looked for.

Must buy - worth it

A magical elixir

I have short, thick hair which I maintain diligently. This night treatment is like a mask but it penetrates quickly and does not leave a mess on my pillow. It strengthens my hair, makes it supple and vigorous. After a couple of use, the effect is impressive.

BEST EVER

Hair soft and strong

REMARKABLE JUST BRILLIANT

LOVE LOVE LOVE this product. Purchased it hesitantly as my hair is quite fine, long, highlighted, coloured and straight with slight frizz on my ends. Was scared it would become too greasy and oily upon awakening. WHAT A SURPRISE!!! The texture, smoothness, look and sleek refreshing feeling was too elegant to be believed. A new customer for life!

I was doing some googling to find the best shampoo and condition for damaged hair (I literally have tried 50% of brands on the market), and cam across this brand. I had never heard of it but saw it had pretty good reviews, so I decided to try it. I must say I am hooked and they have a customer for life. This product has done wonders for my hair on the short time I've had it so much that I felt immediate improvement in my hairs texture literally after the first wash. I would highly advise everyone to try this brand...a little goes a LONG way and it smells so amazing.

The scent is absolue-ly amazing, but hasn't helped with frizz.

I am a huge fan of Shu Uemura products, so had very high hopes for this serum. However, it's been a big disappointment. I tried a few of the styling products in quick succession and must have confused them when I reordered. This is definitely not the one for me.

The product is okay

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the product for three weeks. I noticed only slight visible changes. My hair is frizzy, thin and colored. I was hoping to start seeing more dramatic improvements after using all three sample packets; however, I noticed only slight improvement in terms of less frizz and smoothness. In the two images, you can see my hair before I started using the product and after I completed all three sample packets. The visible change is slight to low - maybe moderate. There were no significant improvement in my hair in terms of texture and health. My hair did feel smoother, but nothing significant. I unfortunately would not buy this product.

Makes Hair Soft!

A must buy!!!

This product may be pricey but in my case was totally worth it!!! Love this product. My hair feels very nice. Seems like it's covered with a protective wax without feeling grease. Love this product!

The best!

I keep finding myself going back to a couple cheaper but seemingly reliable products time and time again. Not this time! The first time I put this stuff in my hair, I was worried it was going to make my already dried hair feel greasy and weighed down. I have fine hair so almost any product put on while my hair is dry makes it look gross. First good indicator: it didn't do that. Next good indicator, when I washed my hair the next night, it felt super soft and smooth. I've been using it after each wash since and my hair is sooooooo soft! I shaved my head back in January because my hair had just ended up in horrible condition due to some illness and nutritional issues. I've been regrowing it since and while I know I need to trim it, it takes so long to grow, I haven't done it yet. I'm not sure that this fixes the need to trim, but it sure makes my hair feel a million times better and look shiny and healthy

Hydration Station

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow, I have used hair oils, serums, leave-in conditioners and nothing has compared to this Shu Uemura Essence Absolue Overnight Serum. While some of the other products I've used in the past were good for detangling or giving my hair a little extra softness, my hair has never absorbed and drank up any of those other products the way they do with this. Most of the hydrating serums I've tried just felt like they were coating my hair in silicone, sitting on top of it, never absorbing it. Even though I have virgin hair these days, no dyes, don't use heat tools or other damaging styling products, my hair has really been feeling dry, straw-like, and gets so frizzy from humidity and sweating like never before. My split ends have been out of control. I'm not sure if it's my getting older or if it's the city water but, my hair has just been so sorry looking and feeling the past couple of years. I cannot believe how much of a difference this serum has been for my hair and even my scalp since I started using it. My hair smells great, feels silky smooth, my natural color looks more vibrant and shiny, no split ends or frizz in sight and even has my scalp feeling more comfortable by combing it through so it conditions my skin. I have long, straight hair that reaches passed the middle of my back, and I can easily run my fingers through my hair with no snags or tangles after using the Absolue Overnight Serum. My hair drinks this stuff up like someone who just ran a marathon guzzles water. It doesn't leave any greasy or sticky residue behind, zero flakes, and all of this without weighing your hair down. It somehow feels lighter? Like how you feel after a wash and trim fresh from the salon! It's bonkers! And you can even use it on fully dry hair! It absorbs just as fast and leaves it looking and feeling just as great. I don't wash my hair every day due to how dry it has been however, I still use this serum on those days and it keeps it feeling refreshed, hydrated, looking silky smooth, never greasy and again, smelling absolutely fantastic! I can't get over how good this serum smells, it's nothing too fragrant or overpowering, doesn't smell artificial, just really fresh and clean. This stuff is magical for someone like myself who usually has a dry scalp, dehydrated feeling hair that gets frizzy even when up in a ponytail and the bottom from split ends a day or two after washing. I would give this serum a million stars if I could.

Super Soft Hair

Essence Absolue Overnight Serum

Bye Bye Frizz!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so happy right now, first let me thank Bzz Agent for allowing me to try Shu Uemura essence absolue, this hair oil is amazing & also smells great! It uses cameilla oil, protects your hair against UV light, and it is even safe for colored hair. In fact my hair is dyed purple right now and is usually frizzy and full of split ends, which I have to get cut off soon. I put this in my hair before I went to bed, and when I woke up and went to brush my hair I was amazed, no frizz, soft & shiny. In fact it looked like I went to the salon to have it done. This is a little on the expensive side, but well worth it! It was also an award winner in 2019 HarpersBazaar.com Hair Awards: The Best 35 Products of the Year. In 2018 it won TheKnot Beauty Awards Runner Up for The Best Hair Oil. In 2013 Condé Nast nominated it the "Must Have" product for the beach, which I can see why and in 2011 it won Allures Best of Beauty Award. Amazing results!

SO SOFTT

Works ok

I noticed when I work up, it's already dry and feels nothing. Also while I taking shower, my hair is still not super smooth. I will try one more time but I'm not sure I will get it againZ

So promising

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to try this taming serum. I loved that it did not require a rinse after use. The scent was amazing. As my hair started to dry this showed extreme promise. My hair was soft and silky. I left it on overnight as directed. When I woke up the next morning my hair felt like it did a 360 in the middle of the night, it no longer felt soft and silky but very dry.

Great serum!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an interesting product! An overnight serum that you don't wash out, so I was a bit wary of applying to dry hair, but lo and behold it worked! I made sure to apply a little bit at first and then a bit more, even though I have longer hair. I tried it on damp just showered hair too, left smooth waves after keeping it up in a bun overnight.

it's just okay

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So the first thing I noticed was that this has a very nice scent when applied. Unfortunately, that scent does not carry over until the morning. It makes my hair seem a little greasy when applied, but that's always to be expected, but it appears limp when I get up. It does make my hair a little more manageable in the mornings, but not so much that I don't still have to brush it out.

Really Works!

It did not leave stains on my pillow or my pajamas. The serum made my long, dry, and frizzy hair smooth, soft, and less frizzy. My hair appears more shiny and less tangled now. I love this serum.

Tame your tresses with Essence Absolue Overnight S

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Yet another great hair products from Shu Uemura. The essence absolue overnight hair serum had exceeded my expectation. I would apply the serum and comb through my hair, then I would put my hair up in a bun before I go to sleep. In the morning when I wake up my hair would have beautiful beach curls that are smoother, softer, and shinier then ever. I love that this serum will hydrate, repair and style in one easy step. it's so easy to use and smells incredibly divine. It also helps to smooth and protected my hair from intense NYC heat and humidity, without weighing it down or feeling oily or greasy. I definitely recommended this product and will continue to use it and love it.

Say goodbye to split ends!!

Still having COVID hair, meaning it hasn't been cut in over 2 years I was super excited to see how this was going to treat my long hair. First off the scent is very appealing, nothing off putting or strong. What I was most surprised with is how much I could apply and my hair just soaked it up not leaving it wet whatsoever but looking and feeling fantastic. This imparts mega moisturize and definitely makes my ends look like I just got a trim. I highly recommend this and would definitely purchase this in the future. I received this product as a free sample and want more!

My new fave!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Essence Absolue Overnight Serum Is my new best friend! This literally brings my hair back to life overnight. Since I am a diehard bleach blonde fanatic my hair may be a little bit more dry and damaged than normal. I love that you can literally see the results overnight and you can feel them too. I love the overall shine and smoothness it brings to my hair!! A favorite of mine is when a little goes a long way in a product, and this one really delivers in that!

Loving it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Though I can't use it they way they say at night, this nighttime Serum is amazing. I use it on my thin, curly, frizzy hair straight from the shower while my hair is damp. What amazed me is that you can not use it wrong! My hair is just past my shoulders and doesn't matter if I think I put too much, my hair drinks it in without getting greasy. My curls are incredible, hair is soft and the humidity didn't make me frizz up.

Dry brittle to sleek and shiney and growing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lets admit I was skeptical about this product, because I've been let down in the past. But it was instantly different, with in one treatment my hair felt like i was alive again. It was so dry even after leave in treatments that it wouldn't even grow. In 10 day of use my hair has grown almost 1/2 inch and I NOW have a stock supply. I highly recommend this product if your hair is extremely damaged.

Magic Hair Essence

Hair hydration

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using my packets of these in my hair after a few days of use each day an night my hair which is naturally coarse has became much smoother even when I haven't washed it which never happens. My hair is still soft like it was just washed an is still very much manageable without the usual frizz I have. A small amount in a packet goes a long ways so it doesn't take much to make your hair smoother or repair damaged hairs an ends. My hair has life again an this stuff is awesome. Doesn't weigh my hair down or leave it looking or feeling greasy at all. My hair looks an feels the healthiest it's been in a long time. I've used a lot of different products to tame my curly hair but this stuff is by far my new favorite.
