Great Step in Hair Care Process!

Terrible

This is horrible. I have used this product over one month ago and my hair feels like there’s some wax on it. Can someone tell me how do I remove this product off my hair for good? None of the shampoos I used got it completely off.

Good scrub, not runny or chunky.

For reference, I usually have fine, thin hair, but after my last baby, I have a good mix of medium and coarse hair, and a couple years post-partum my hair went from thick and returned to thin. I'm hoping the scrub will help with scalp health and encourage growth, along with other products. I like that the scrub isn't too chunky or fine, and that it suds up really nicely as well. The scent isn't overpowering, too flowery, too... anything. It's sits in a nice, soft place that I wish I had as a fragrance. The scrub holds together well for scooping out with fingers, and is fine enough to spread through the hair unless you take a huge clump. I'm still playing around with how best to use it on my scalp, as I find having my hair dry or too wet limits how well I can spread the scrub across my scalp. I like it best so far after using some oil on my dry scalp pre-shower, then with the head a bit wet, like 2 runs under the shower head. After massaging it in I like to leave it on for a little bit (5 mins?) before gently rubbing it out. For now I'm actually using this as the only cleanser, so no shampoo follow up, then a leave-in conditioner (currently Ouai). Until I see the long-term results of the use, I'll only give 4/5, but I'm really liking it overall so far.

Its pricey but you get what you pay for

i love this product line, i do see changes in my hair, it seems to be growing just a bit. which is more than i usually get. The serum is my favorite, it really softens makes my hair looks healthy.

Scalp has never felt cleaner!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have curly frizzy hair and I can't wash it every day. So granted after using my products an couple days later my scalp has build up. I have used all the clarifying shampoos I could find. But never could get my scalp cleaned as good as I wanted. Then I would have to wash more often. My hair would be drier and frizzier. After using this scrub my scalp is squeaky clean. And stays cleaner longer. I am amazed!!! Not to mention the amazing smell. I am for sure repurchasing!

Love This Scrub!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to get this as I have a chronic skin issue on my Scalp that causes lots of flakiness. My hair is also super this, so I parted my hair and applied this section by section and worked it into my Scalp and hair with my Scalp massage/washer. It felt so good and removed a lot of the flakes. Leaving my Scalp feeling so refreshed and my hair soft and shiny. I'd definitely recommend this if you have a dry or itchy scalp.

Amazing & Works well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My scalp gets really dry every month around ~hormonal time~ and nothing I do will fix it. I get visible flakes that fall onto my shirt every time I touch my hair. I've tried clarifying shampoos, tea tree shampoo, NOT shampooing (which makes it even worse), shampoo brushes, moisturizing scalp treatments, etc..... you name it, I've tried it. THIS STUFF WORKS. After the first use, I noticed a major reduction in dryness. Using it two washes in a row totally clears up the issue. I scrub this in really well, rinse really well, then shampoo and condition with my usual products afterward.. The result is a clear scalp and super shiny hair!! Highly recommend to anyone struggling with a dry scalp.

Moisturizing Scrub

Great build up remover for your hair

Interesting blend

Finally relief for my itchy, flaky head!

I like it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first time trying a scalp scrub, so I didn't know what to expect. It feels like a sugar scrub at first and then it turns into foam. It feels like a styling mouse at that point. I'm glad I didn't use too much since it didn't take more than about a quarter size. After my hair was dry I had noticeable volume near the scalp as if I had used a styling mouse. It was even noticeable the next day. Having volume at the roots is tricky for me since I have long, thick hair that tends to get oily at the roots. I was happy and surprised at the results. I recommend this product for those that want a clean scalp and more volume near the roots. It's time to clean your scalp and wash away that residue! Give it a try! Exfoliating and smells nice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a sensitive flaky scalp and have tried most lines of scalp health shampoos and conditioners to try to balance it, with mixed results. i was a little nervous that this might be drying since I already have issues with itchiness and flakiness. But it wasn't! The scratchy texture helps you dig into each part of your scalp and exfoliate, and I didn't notice any flakes all day after using it in the shower in the morning. It smells nice too - kind of like eucalyptus or mint.

Helped With My Dry, Flaky Scalp

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this for three applications prior to shampooing for a period of two weeks. I live in an extremely dry climate and in the winter, my hair gets embarrassingly flaky. It has reduced the flakiness for sure, and I'm sure if I used it more than the recommended once a week, it'll help alleviate it more. I've used Oaui and Christophe Robin's scrubs too, Oaui being sugar. I do have concerns with salt scrubs fading my color, but I haven't noticed that yet. Make sure to follow the instructions that say to use a coin-sized amount, I made the mistake of trying to coat all areas. I used a lot more than that and it took a long time to rinse the lather out. Overall, I like the results of this and would buy it again, however, it is much more than the other brands I mentioned I've used.

Wow! I never knew I needed this!

Not quite what I expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received shu uemura Ashita Supreme Scalp Scrub for free in exchange for my honest opinion. The instructions were kind of hard to read on the container itself, which made it a bit confusing if you were supposed to wash your hair as normal before using the product or vice versa. I Googled shu uemura Ashita Supreme Scalp Scrub, to find out what to do first & you are supposed to wash your hair prior to using the scrub. The product smells great, however, it was a little hard to actually reach my scalp. What little of the product that did reach my scalp did feel nice. For the price of this scalp scrub the directions should be easy to follow & read. I've used other scalp treatments and did not have any of the issues that I listed above. This scalp scrub did leave my hair feeling softer, a little shiner, & definitely smelled great. I would not purchase this product.

Scrub-tastic!

This also helped to make my hair really soft! The only thing that I would change about this product, is that it would be a 5-star product if it was in a pointed tip bottle instead of a tub. Kind of hard to use but it works really well!

It wasn't until I mixed it with a dollop of shampoo that I was able to really get in there and scrub my head with it. However, it smelled really good. Very menthol. Cleared my nose right up. After rinsing it left a noticeable cool, tingly sensation and left my hair feeling very soft. I do use a lot of leave in treatments that tend to leave a lot of build up behind so this was perfect to clear that all up. I will definitely continue to use this product.

Scalp feels refreshed

Tingly!

Scalp scrub for the win

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have really enjoyed using the Shu Uemura Ashita Supreme Scalp Scrub. I have used it 3 times now and each time my scalp feels minty fresh. Ireally lie the texture of the scrub. Some companies make it too loose/ runny so it's hard to get a scoop on your fingers to rub it in. I also feel like it spread well over the whole head and you only need a little dollop at a time. I love the little tingle left behind after rinsing it out. After drying my hair I can tell it feels lighter from the scalp and I can visibly see shinier skin on my scalp. I tend to use dry shampoo most days and the build up can really take a toll. This is now my new life saver!

Soapy Scalp scrub

Need more time to fully assess

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried Shu Uemura Ashita Supreme 3 times now and am still up in the air. I know the brand has quality products, but am fency on this one. #1, first of all, I have very thick, coarse hair, and recently in the cold weather, a drier scalp, so I thought this would be a good fit. It was a thicker scrub, great scent. I needed to wet my hair in sections and use a LOT of product to get it to lather up. It did, felt oily at first, like it would be hard to wash out. It did after a good sulfate free shampoo, and then conditioning. The thing is I didn't notice immediate results of shine and less breakage, but presumably it would happen over time. But I am very conscientious about haircare as it is, so maybe it's not a night/day difference for me as it would be others. I did notice it stop the dry scalp issues however. So I am going to continue using the product. My only hold up, very high price for the amount of product I need to use to get the lathering - (i.e) - getting the product to work. So I'm not sure if down the road they can make a value product for thin vs thick hair - because the truth is, I'll blow through this container truly within very few uses. Perhaps Shu Uemura has some tips on that, or maybe it's just best for thin/med hair?

To heavy

I did not care for the scent either. If this was used along with the other products in the line it may have been more beneficial.

Smells amazing!

It really seems to get rid of the buildup on my hair and it also has been doing a great job of helping me get the flakes off my scalp that tend to get stuck in a small bit of oil and don't want to come off until the time I would want it to happen the absolute least. Part of my new routine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only used shu uemura Ashita Supreme Scalp Scrub twice. The both times I used it, I found that my thick hair was softer, smoother, and more manageable. I also really liked how my scalp felt cleaner and the gunk from soap residue was removed. The smell was also pleasant. There are some minor inconveniences, but they will not stop me from using it. shu uemura Ashita Supreme Scalp Scrub is salty, and if you get it in your mouth, you will taste the salt. Also, if you have cuts on your scalp, it will burn a bit. I will definitely purchase this product and use this weekly.

Would definitely buy

After you clean your scalp with regular shampoo and conditioner you can feel the difference. I would recommend it once a week for any one. I would definitely buy it.

Magical Scalp Scrub

Fabulous

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This works so well. I have extremely thick hair and a lot of it. So it's a bit hard to work into my scalp. That said I just take a small amount and put it in different sections and then scrub. My dry flaky scalp is so happy. This smells wonderful and feels invigorating. Rinses easily and my hair comes out feeling and looking great. I only wash once a week so adding this to my routine is a game changer.

Cleans Scalp

Very mild results

I noticed a difference the next day, my hair was smoother and felt both cleaner and lighter. After the next wash, my hair was back to feeling like normal. Amazing scalp scrub!!!

It starts out like a traditional sugar scrub- all granular. But then it lathers up. It took out all the product buildup in my hair and made it softer and gave it more volume! Refreshing scrub

Questionable ingredients

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The claims made by the product were intriguing. So, I started by reading the ingredient list. It looked great until I looked up PEG. I thought that I could get past that. Surely, must be using other products containing a PEG, but upon further examination, I learned that the product contains sodium hydroxide. It's pretty low on the list of ingredients, but having textured hair, this ingredient (i.e. lye, probably food grade) is undesirable, most concerning and would probably alter the natural texture of my hair. I didn't use it. I COULDN'T use it. This is not a product for someone with my hair type, concerns and/or lifestyle. I would suggest that anyone wanting to use this product scrutinize the ingredients list first

Salt texture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging was very high ends. The smell was a musky mens type cologne scent but nice. I wasn't sure at first best way to apply but felt a good exfoliate for the scalp and after I rinsed my shampoo lathered better. My hair was soft but a little flat and shiny.

My scalp feels so refreshed

Makes my hair soft but smells overwhelming

Smooth scrub - Directions need help!

My one complaint is that the directions on the box (and especially the container) are SO SMALL! Scrub away product residue and add volume!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first time trying a scalp scrub, so I didn't know what to expect. It feels like a sugar scrub at first and then it turns into foam. It feels like a styling mouse at that point. I'm glad I didn't use too much since it didn't take more than about a quarter size. After my hair was dry I had noticeable volume near the scalp as if I had used a styling mouse. It was even noticeable the next day. Having volume at the roots is tricky for me since I have very long, fine straight hair that tends to get oily at the roots. I was happy and surprised at the results. My husband had similar results for his thick, wavy short hair. I recommend this product for those that want a clean scalp and more volume near the roots. Amazing stuff

Ashita Supreme Scalp Scrub

I thought the texture of the scrub was very different from other hair products; it reminded me of a facial scrub. It stripped all of the buildup out of my hair and left it feeling soft and shiny. It worked far better than any other "buildup" shampoo or conditioner. The results were long lasting--I had soft and shiny hair for a few days. The only drawback I see is the price.

Surprisingly good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little skeptical to try the Ashita Supreme Scalp Scrub. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I used thecscrub on my 7 year old daughters scalp. She gets a lot of build up and its a pain to get out her hair. It went on like any typ of scrub but with the water formed a beautiful lather. Once rinsed there was no residue left. This will definitely be a monthly routine for my daughters hair.
