Deeply disappointed

My decision to purchase it again was based purely on past experiences, which obviously are vastly different from what they are now..
The product I received, I have used twice and to be completely candid, I was truly disappointed… it’s heavy and leaves a greasy type residue on my hair even that after the first use I found odd, leaving me questioning whether or not I had properly rinsed my hair, but on second use, after extensive rinsing, I realized it was something in the formula that leaves my hair flat and lifeless..

Bad batch? So disappointed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, I’ve used Purology hydrate line off and on for years and have loved it. About 2 weeks ago, I started using the Pureology strength cure shampoo for the first time. The first thing I noticed is it made my scalp feel itchy after the first use, but I used a few more times in hopes that it was helping strengthen my hair.
The past few days, I have run my fingers through my hair and have hair coming out in clumps. My only change was my shampoo in the past few weeks. I was absolutely horrified seeing so much of my hair come out, like absolutely sick to my stomach. I’ve really been trying hard to take care of my hair the past few years and at my last hair appointment, my stylist told me my hair is the best she’s ever seen it, who has been doing my hair the last 8 years. And how all that hard work on my hair, I feel like it’s ruined. I’m feeling very defeated by the hair loss.
The very popular store I got this shampoo from has tons of reviews about their hair loss around the same time as when I purchased my bottle at the end of 2023. I didn’t think it could be my shampoo causing it to happen, so I felt crazy even thinking that. But when I saw so many reviews saying the same thing, I am absolutely mortified how many other people this happened to. I don’t see any similar reviews here, which is very odd to me when I see so many in other places.
I’m a very healthy female in my 30s. I stay hydrated, take vitamins and supplements, and have no underlying medical conditions. I’ve never had hair loss issues before and I’ve been a big fan of my hydrate Pureology in the past. I don’t know if I got a bad batch that happened late fall, but I would recommend to proceed with caution and maybe try the hydrate before trying this one.

Helps stop color fade

I love that this is a clean, sulfate free shampoo, and it has a great fruity, floral scent that’s not overpowering. The shampoo lathers up quite nicely, and coupled with the conditioner, leaves my hair feeling soft, shiny, and healthier. I also like how it has an antifade complex to help my hair color stay vibrant between salon visits. It’s highly concentrated so you only need to use a dime sized amount (the flower on the cap is a guide!). Highly recommend to anyone, but especially those with color-treated damaged hair.

I found some days it was better used alone. It lathers up nicely and smells great to me and the scent of it actually lasts in your hair through the day which I love that! I've noticed a change in my hair usually I'm using purple shampoo a few times a week which can be harsh on hair and the first few days using this a nice change in the overall look and texture of my hair. I could recommend if you don't mind spending a little extra on your shampoos

Desperate to reclaim some of what I had before, I knew I already liked this product. Having used it before in a sample size. It was too expensive to purchase, however, But I was desperate this year to find something to add luster and fullness to my hair once again.. Daughter had been using the Strength formula and so am I. and loves it. I can honestly say I don't even think about thinning hair anymore. I'm not using hair growth products beyond supplements. Whether any new growth hair is coming in or not, my hair feels full and lustrous after I wash, condition and style it now. (I have not recd any product samples, etc.)

Itchy Scalp

I love how this shampoo smells and my hair feels really soft and healthy. The only issue is my scalp has been so itchy for the past year. Not only itchy but its been breaking out in small and large pimples. I had no idea what was causing it. I finally decided to try and use an older bottle of Redken's All Soft shampoo/conditioner and the itching and breakouts stopped. It saddens me because I just purchased a new set . However the very first time I used it, I noticed immediately a difference! My hair has some heat damage and is very fine. After using this product, my hair felt soft and healthy & my ends looked like I just had a fresh hair cut! A few days before I had used my iron at higher heat than I should have & had that awful smell, after using this product the smell was gone! Highly recommend. It is quite expensive but in my opinion worth it.

Strength Cure duo
I have long, fine hair, but a lot of it. I get highlights, and have multiple textures of hair. Some areas are wavy, some curly, and some straight. This combo is perfect for getting my hair soft, strong, under control, without weighing it down. The conditioner is very slick, so great for finger detangling. It has a nice, light scent. This is my favorite formula for me hair.

Trying Strength Cure for dry hair
