Not great for thick, wavy hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My stylist recommended Pureology, and, while I love the shampoo/conditioners, this serum fell short. My hair is thick and wavy shoulder length and required three pumps to get anywhere near full coverage. However, it makes my hair hard to style and leaves ir feeling dry. Also no reduction in humidity effects. I much prefer Treseme smoothing serum.

Humidity Buster!

Love this product! I have naturally curly hair and I regularly blow it out straight. This product is a nice weight and keeps my hair smooth (which is especially nice for those weird wiry gray hairs) and as humidity resistant as possible in the Virginia heat! I do get an annual keratin treatment and this sulfate free product line is compatible and works great. All summer long - no flat iron required. I do wish there was a travel size - I would love to be able to carry it on the plane and not have to transfer it into another container. I definitely would recommend for medium or coarse hair.

It’s okay

Smooth results

This product helps tame frizzy fly-aways. Although it feels gel-like prior to application, it does not affect the softness of my hair. I like pairing it with the Smooth Perfection Shampoo and Conditioner. It still works great with other shampoos. My hair is naturally wavy and can get frizzy. I prefer to straighten my hair. This helps control my frizz.

Disappointing

I bought this serum a week ago. I have thick frizz prone curly hair and after reading the reviews decided to try it to tame my frizz. Sadly my hair got even more frizzy with this product. For the price I paid I expected better results. Not worth it. On the positive side I did love the smell but it doesn’t justify the product.

amazing hair serum!

I have super dry and frizzy hair, live in a humid part of the country and just decided to get curtain bangs LOL. I also havent picked up a blow dryer in 12 years and definitely needed one for styling my new fringe. This stuff keeps all the baby hairs nice and flat, plus my hair feels super soft after my hair is dry.

Makes my hair Shine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has a light scent that's pleasant and clean. the texture is odd and a little, maybe some size is all you need (I have fine hair that is long past my shoulders). It makes my hair shiny and smooth without even blow-drying and lasts days. The thickness makes it a bit hard to spread so I would mix it in your palms before applying. I feel like it protects my hair when I blow dry as well, I find it worth the money and a quality product.

Worth the purchase

I have combo hair, due to coloring, and my hair doesnt like heavy products. This doesnt weigh my hair down or make it too oily, though I focus on applying to mostly the ends and run my fingers through the top of my hair lightly after. I was given this free to review, and Im not sure if I will repurchase, Im going to give it more time first. I think the living proof and olaplex serums still might be my go to over this.. time will tell!

It did was it said and helped smooth my hair and help with frizz. I just put this in and used a blow dryer to dry it completely without the use of a brush it came out pretty smooth and frizz free. Im sure if I had taken the time to use a round brush or paddle brush it would have been even better.

Smooth Perfection Serum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this product. Although I naturally have more wavy/straight hair, it can definitely get frizzy, especially in the summer. I use only 1-2 pumps of this after I shower and put it in my damp hair. It works as a heat protectant as well which is perfect because you can blow dry your hair without worrying about adding another serum in your hair. I especially love that this whole line is sulfate & paraben free since I do have color treated hair. Overall, I am definitely starting to incorporate this on my day to day and have noticed some change in the texture of my hair when I use it!

This serum reminds me of hair gel, that type of texture. It is a bit sticky but not too bad. This product did leave my hair feeling very smooth and I think it helped manage my frizz. Shiney but sticky

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first thought with this serum was gross! The formula is very thick and a little sticky, think glue mixed with jello. However, it smells absolutely amazing: light and clean vanilla scent. I will say it did tame my frizzy waves but they do seem a little weighed down. I havent noticed any healing aspects on my split ends or hair but it definitely makes it shiney and smooth for a day or so after applying.

It definitely does what it says it does (smoothing) but I feel like the effect didnt hold for too long, at least on naturally curly hair. When I tried it while styling my hair (straightening), it was amazing how smooth and sleek my hair looked! The consistency is similar to vaseline and it smelled a bit like it as well which is the one thing I didnt love. Overall I think this is better when styling your hair than enhancing natural waves/curls. Both styles pictured here.

A new favorite!

I love that its so smoothing, protects from heat damage, and is amazing paired with the shampoo and conditioner. Im on day 4 hair currently and my hair is still super smooth and Ive barely had to straighten my hair since its been washed. Highly recommend the smooth perfection line!

I love this treatment

There is very little scent to the creme, which is a nice touch. My hair ia shoulder length, color treated and craving moisture. This creme helps it feel much softer and healthier. Influenster sent it to me to try out, and I'm sure i will be purchasing another bottle when this one is gone. Pureology products have been a favorite of mine since before my wedding, when my mother in law's hair dresser introduced me to it when he did my waist length hair.

This serum gives you a generous pumps, so unlike other serums you dont need to do multiple pumps. My hair is right to my collarbone, and one pump is more than enough, so definitely start at the ends of your hair first to make sure your roots arent all greasy because this serum definitely does its job! I like putting on before I blow dry my hair and it comes out silky smooth!

Super Soft Hair!

I think this product is best if you brush or comb your hair while wet (having curly/wavy hair, I dont to avoid separating the curls and causing frizz). Silky Smooth Thick Hair!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After I used the shampoo and conditioner I put a decent amount of this in my hair to blow dry and straighten my hair. Loved the smell, loved the shine. Did not make my hair feel heavy and greasy. Will be purchasing more of this when I run out!!! Added a picture of before and after! It looks so blah in the first picture! #influencervoxbox

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this serum a lot. It is a little sticky, which is why I took away a star. But I feel like it is a good heat protectant and also good for helping to control frizz without leaving a greasy look.

Pleasantly Surprised

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, thank you to @pureology and @Influenster for sending me these 3 great #complimentary products to try. Upon receiving them, I checked out the texture and scent. Not gonna lie, the scent was a bit of a turnoff. It felt heavy, perfumey. The thick viscosity of all three products had me and my fine hair concerned that the products would be too heavy and weigh it down. However, that was not the case. I found the opposite. Despite the thick texture of all products, my hair wasnt limp or lifeless. Never looked oily or weighed down. It looked great and shiny. Sadly, I didnt really notice a difference in frizziness compared to my normal routine. I air dry my hair, perhaps if I blew it out the results would be different. BTW, my normal shampoo/conditioner is using Pureologys Hydrate line. I did use the Smoothing Serum on my dry hair (day 2 hair) to see if it would help tame my frizzies and found it to make my hair oily looking. I probably used too much. Lastly, my only other critical comments are around finding the shampoo took a little longer to rinse clean and the scent is quite strong across all three products. It lingers awhile. If youre cool with that, great, but those sensitive to strong scents be advised. Overall, the Smooth Perfection Shampoo, Conditioner & Smoothing Serum are good strong products. I just wont be dumping my Hydrate for them any time soon.

works with a blow drying or air drying

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I dont always blow dry my hair but thankfully this product helps smooth my hair and reduce frizz even when air drying. I use a bit after my shower and my hair has been drying naturally in really nice waves.

smooth perfecting serium

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not sure if I applied it correctly, but i added the serum to my damp hair after a shower. ( I wash my hair every 3 days) when I brush my hair in the morning my hair has less frizz and becomes easily detangled. This item is the perfect finish in keeping your hair looking tamed.

I love this serum!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So this is a thick, clear and glossy serum. Its not what I expected at all and a hair serum. It left my hair smooth and soft but did not help the dry time at all. I do find myself waiting further in between washes having used the serum which is always a plus for me.

unexpectedly amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first pumped this product out I was shocked by the consistency. It feels like a silicone gel. It smells amazing and will last a long time. Ive never used anything Ive loved as much as this line of products and I have a feeling the serum has a lot to do with it. It doesnt leave my hair greasy and smooths its perfectly. I will absolutely be getting these products again when they run out!

What was this supposed to do?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I thought this worked well for a brief moment. It smelled nice and went in fairly non-greasy. But as the day went on, though my hair was soft, it was extremely frizzy. It was a strange combination. For days after, I felt like I could do nothing to get it to stop being frizzy and dry feeling, until I washed it out of my hair. To be completely fair, though, I don't heat style my hair so maybe that's part of it.
