Best Hydrate Shampoo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Pureology Hydrate Shampoo! I used to own a salon and we carried Pureology products. We tried other all natural hair products and Pureology was the best. You need to only use a pea-size amount because it's so concentrated and goes a long way. This makes a bottle of shampoo and conditioner last a lot longer than other products that are diluted with water. I highly recommend Pureology hair products!

Pureology is the only product that doesn't cause itchiness on my scalp. I have tried several of the product lines, and my favorite is Hydrate. I color my hair every 5 weeks, so it can get dry, and Hydrate really helps.

This makes my hair greasy

I have heard great things about Pureology hair products, so I took the leap and ordered the hydrate shampoo. I have used it a handful of times, and my hair is always greasy in the next day or two-- and I don't have particularly greasy hair. I normally wouldn't have greasy hair for at least 3-4 days after washing. I will say that I used the sample of the pure volume shampoo and did not have the same issue, so maybe this formula just isn't right for my hair? Anyway, I am disappointed in this since this is an expensive product.

The Hydrate Shampoo is awesome!

I had a hairdresser use this shampoo on me years ago and I loved it but I just could not afford the product at that time. I recently remembered this shampoo while looking for shampoos specifically for dry scalp issues and I am so glad I did. I think it has helped alot and I love the smell and slight tingle it gives my scalp. Thanks for a good product!

Hydrating shampoo for curly/frizzy hair

I like the shampoo a great deal. I wash my hair 2x's at most a week so the small container lasts a very long time -price is not an issue. It's kind on my curly hair and doesn't strip it yet my hair feels clean after use.

This is an answer to difficult and dry hair.

Very nice scent. I have trouble with a lot of their shampoo scents, but this one is calming. The scent doesn't linger. I have used this shampoo and conditioner for over 10 years, maybe over 15 and it still treats my hair so well. I tried the sheer hydrate and it did not work as well for me. I have thirsty, wavy/curly hair. It's fine, but dense. This combo cleans, hydrates and adds shine. I actually use this shampoo as a body wash now. It helps my skin in the winter months!

Wonderful Scent!

Love love this shampoo! I brought it to my hair salon because I get my hair done there twice a week. My hair stylist said it’s an excellent shampoo and my hair has been looking very good since I’ve been using it! The only minus is that it’s kind of expensive but I’m willing to spend extra to make my hair beautiful. Oh and I live the scent of the shampoo… heavenly ! I’ll continue to buy it.

Best Shampoo on the market

I’m a hairstylist who has tried many different shampoos & conditioners (Redken, Joico, Kenra, Paul Mitchell, Aveda, and many more) and I have not found any as good as the Pureology hydrate line. I’ve been using Pureology now only for about a year and feel like my hair is the healthiest it’s ever been. I’ve had many clients who love Pureology now and swear by their products. The smell is amazing and I love the menthol feel of the conditioner. You can’t go wrong with this product!

Too many problems

5 years ago I loved pureology. I recently purchased both hydrate shampoo and conditioner. My hair looks oily by the end of the day even though I rinse extremely well. Product is so thick its thick its hard to distribute without adding water. Large bottle hole its easy to squeeze out too much. The tab on bottle top is too small making it difficult to open. I really wanted to like it but these factors along with the high price makes it uneconomical. Especially not liking greasy hair look.

Every time I’ve tried a different shampoo or conditioner my hair has not looked very good in comparison to how fabulous it looks when I use Pureology. I also love that they don’t use sodium lauryl sulfate in their products which I am very sensitive to. The calming cream makes my curls look fabulous. Would definitely recommend everybody.

Super Hydration and volume!

I just did a full review for both the conditioner and shampoo, my hair has responded so well using these two products. After trying several high-end brands that didn't live up their descriptions I decided to try Pureology and I'm so happy I did. I noticed a difference after the first shampoo, no tangles at all, dried nicely and my hair looked and felt so hydrated. If you color your hair, if it feels dry, and you want hydration and volume, I highly recommend you try this shampoo (and conditioner). For reference, I have medium hair, straight and I color roots and use color tints.

But this did a great job of cleansing my hair and keeping it moisturized. I used box dye on my hair just to see how much of it this shampoo would strip and it didn’t! The one thing I didn’t like was the scent, it smelled kind of like baby powder with a mint scent to me which I wasn’t a fan of. But it’s a great shampoo, not sure if I would say it’s worth the price to me but if you want to splurge I say go ahead.

Amazing brand
